A bus lost control at Shenzhen Bay Port at about 11am on September 13, mounting a road divider or central flower bed before hitting a tree, Star Headline and Ming Pao reported.
Ming Pao reported that the bus had dropped off passengers and was heading towards a parking position when it suddenly went out of control. The female driver reportedly steered to avoid another bus before the vehicle mounted the flower bed; Star Headline similarly reported that the manoeuvre was intended to avoid affecting other buses.
The upper-deck windscreen shattered. One tree was damaged and another was reportedly left leaning after being pressed by the bus. No injuries were reported in either account.
Police attended after receiving a report, Ming Pao said. Star Headline reported that the female driver remained at the scene to assist with the investigation.
The cause of the bus losing control remained under investigation, according to Ming Pao.
