A private car caught fire on the Tsuen Wan Road overpass while travelling towards Tuen Mun at about 3.30pm on November 7. Firefighters extinguished it after about 15 minutes, and no one was reported injured.

The Tuen Mun-bound section was fully closed for a time, causing traffic congestion. A queue was reported to exceed 2km and extend to Lai King, and drivers had to use alternative roads.

The car was towed later that afternoon. After a suspected fuel leak, police spread sawdust on the road and lanes reopened progressively.
