Some visitors to the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s journalism and communication school website were redirected to a gambling webpage in what was reported as a suspected hacking incident.
Ming Pao reported discovering the problem the previous day. The university said it immediately suspended the website and referred the matter to its Information Technology Services Centre for security follow-up.
The school was repairing the website and investigating the incident, the university said. At that stage, it had found no leak of sensitive personal data.
