Department of Health warns of fake dental-subsidy adverts for people aged 50 and over

The adverts claimed to offer a government dental-implant subsidy, but the department said no such scheme exists.

The Department of Health warned on 18 September that social-media adverts claiming the government had introduced a dental-implant subsidy for people aged 50 and over were fake. The department said the government had not introduced any such scheme.

The department said it had reported the matter to police and reported the adverts to the relevant social-media platform.

Anyone who clicked an unfamiliar link in the adverts, or entered personal information on a suspicious website, should contact police immediately, the Department of Health said.
