Police received a report at around 7pm on November 5 that a five-month-old girl had been found unconscious at her home in San Tin Ha San Wai, Yuen Long. HK01 described her condition as critical.
She was taken to Pok Oi Hospital for emergency treatment and later transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital. HK01 reported that her condition had stabilised somewhat before the transfer.
Police said the household’s domestic helper had left the girl alone before she was found collapsed on a bed. The helper was arrested on suspicion of ill-treating or neglecting a child and was being detained for investigation. Police are investigating the cause of the collapse.
