A 37-year-old Filipino domestic worker was arrested in Kennedy Town after the mother of a four-year-old girl reported suspected mistreatment at their home in The Belcher's on the morning of November 6.
HK01 reported that the mother reviewed home CCTV and found footage from October 31 to November 5 that allegedly showed the worker spitting suspected phlegm into milk while preparing it for the child on at least four occasions, then giving it to her to drink.
Police arrested the worker on suspicion of ill-treating or neglecting a child in her care and detained her for investigation. Police said the child had no visible injuries and did not need hospital treatment.
