Two videos circulated on 22 September showing a hat-wearing man arguing and briefly grappling with a hotel worker outside a vehicle drop-off area in Tsim Sha Tsui. Other hotel employees stepped in to separate the pair as the confrontation unfolded on Nathan Road.
The man was heard repeatedly swearing and alleging that a member of staff had opened his car door while he was parked to pick up a customer. The footage did not record the worker’s explanation, leaving the complaint as the man’s account of what triggered the dispute.
The argument became more heated when the man picked up a traffic cone and appeared to hold it as a weapon. Staff stopped him, and he later threw the cone on to the ground. The worker was described as appearing to be a luggage-service employee, although his exact job title was unclear.
HK01 reported that police had not received a related 999 emergency call by 22 September.
