A video appearing to show a man holding an infant, kicking a baby stroller and pushing a woman to the ground has led to an arrest in Sham Shui Po. The incident occurred early on Sunday, 20 September, at the junction of Cedar Street and Ki Lung Street.
Hong Kong police said they noticed the footage online and began investigating. Officers arrested a 27-year-old local man in Sham Shui Po on the afternoon of 21 September.
Police said the man was suspected of using his hands to assault his 28-year-old wife. He was charged with one count of ordinary assault.
The man was due to appear at a magistrates’ court in West Kowloon on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, in connection with the charge.
