A man aged about 40 was found dead on a chair outside a Tsim Sha Tsui bar at about 1.30am on 24 September, after rescue personnel responded to a report of an unconscious man. He had reportedly been at the bar on Carnarvon Road with friends.
He was found unconscious inside the bar and was moved outside on the chair by a female friend and a bar employee. Police questioned the employee before taking him away.
Officers then examined the bar, at 25 to 31 Carnarvon Road, and reportedly found a suspected ice pipe and suspected bloodstains. HK01 also reported a suspected needle mark on the man's thigh.
Police were considering a possible fatal drug overdose, HK01 reported, but the exact cause and time of death had not been established. Police initially classified the case as a body-found investigation, i-CABLE reported, while examination continued.
