A 58-year-old man suffered a serious head injury after falling on an escalator at KOLOUR • Tsuen Wan II on September 25.
The incident happened at about 8pm as the man travelled from the ground floor to the first floor. Rescuers found him unconscious and took him to Yan Chai Hospital for emergency treatment.
The escalator was cordoned off afterwards, with blood and blood-stained tissues reportedly left on it. Police were investigating what caused the fall.
Police initially classified the case as a fainting incident, Ming Pao reported, while a source at the scene told the newspaper that low blood pressure may have been involved.
