Majestic Medical Centre in Mong Kok had neither a private healthcare facility licence nor an exemption, according to the Department of Health’s current records. The department confirmed that all doctors practising at the premises were registered. It said staff had visited to understand the situation and reminded the clinic to apply for a licence or exemption.
A registered doctor at the clinic told Star Headline that it changed its name after registration and that the related paperwork was still being processed.
The Department says facilities with a licence or exemption must display the document prominently with a QR code. The public can scan it using the scanner in the mobile health app or check the Department’s online register.
