A girl aged about one was found unconscious at a unit in Block 6 of the transitional housing complex at 20 Shiyun Road, Kai Tak, on the morning of the 10th and later died in hospital.
Her mother reported to police at around 5.30am to 5.31am that her daughter was unconscious in their unit, according to the reports.
Responders found the girl without breathing or a pulse and took her to hospital for emergency treatment. She later died despite resuscitation efforts.
i-CABLE News identified the hospital as Kwong Wah Hospital.
Police were investigating the incident. The reports did not establish the medical cause of death or explain the circumstances that led to the girl becoming unconscious and losing her breathing and pulse.
