Pentecostal School in Ho Man Tin reported electronic equipment missing on 4 November, with the loss estimated at about HK$287,000.
According to a later HK01 report, a preliminary police count listed 58 iPads, four laptops, a camera and a lens. The equipment had been bought in September and kept in a locked IT room. A male employee who resigned in October had managed the equipment and was one of the room’s keyholders. Other IT staff took over after he left and found the items missing during an inventory.
Police were pursuing the former employee over a suspected connection to the theft.
