A police car collided with an electric two-wheeler on Long Yip Street in Yuen Long at about 2pm on 17 September, leaving the rider with a leg injury. The non-Chinese man in his 30s was conscious and was taken by ambulance to Tuen Mun Hospital.
The crash happened near an MTR station, and the rider fell to the ground after the impact. Three police officers got out of the vehicle to check him, according to Ming Pao, before paramedics arrived and found that he had injured his leg.
Food, described by one report as takeaway food, was scattered across the road after the collision. The reports do not establish why it was being carried.
Online footage described by the two reports appears to show the police car travelling across the road as the electric two-wheeler approached or crossed from its right. The rider and the vehicle separated on impact, with the rider thrown to the ground, according to the footage descriptions.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
