A woman believed to be about 70 died after falling from her flat at a private housing estate on Tanner Road in North Point at about 1pm on 10 September. Rescue personnel confirmed her death at the scene.
Estate security staff reported finding the woman lying on a platform and called police. She was reported to be a resident of the estate, and police initially believed she had fallen from the flat where she lived. Ming Pao identified the location as No. 8 Tanner Road, while Star Headline gave no building number.
A suicide note was found at the scene. Star Headline reported that police were initially handling the case as suspected suicide, based on their preliminary investigation and the note; this was not a confirmed final conclusion.
