A worker found a suspected bomb during renovation work at Lei Yue Mun Park & Holiday Village on 28 September, prompting a police response at about 10am.
Police identified the item as a post-war British shell measuring about 60 centimetres long and about 10 centimetres in diameter. About 15 people were moved to a safe location while Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel dealt with it.
The specialists detonated the shell at the scene, and nobody was injured.
