A 44-year-old sales worker has been jailed for three weeks and fined HK$15,000 after pleading guilty to three indecent-assault offences involving two female passengers on the MTR. He was sentenced at West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts.
The charges alleged that the offences took place on July 5, 2026. Two occurred on the platform at Sham Shui Po Station as the women boarded a train, followed by another inside the train during the journey.
The court heard that the man touched one woman’s buttocks with his right hand and pressed his lower body against the other. He later approached the woman he had earlier pressed against, reached under her skirt and touched her private parts. He told police in a caution statement that work pressure had led to the conduct.
In mitigation, the defence said a report recommended continuing psychiatric and psychological follow-up. Chief Magistrate Don So Man-lung said the report’s result was positive and urged the defendant to seek medical treatment. He also warned him not to reoffend after accepting the guilty pleas and imposing the sentence.
