A female swimmer was rescued unconscious after a suspected drowning at Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung at about 10am on September 12, according to reports by Ming Pao and Star Headline.
She was taken by ambulance to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for emergency treatment. Star Headline identified her as 82 and reported that she later died despite resuscitation efforts, while Ming Pao reported that she was receiving treatment; the available accounts do not establish her ultimate condition.
Police were handling the case as a drowning incident and investigating.
