A Dough Bros. pizza takeaway shop at Oakhill Mall Phase II in Tai Kok Tsui reported a suspected burglary on September 13, after cash, four tablets and a takeaway bag were found missing. Star Headline and Ming Pao reported the same account.
CCTV reportedly showed a person entering the restaurant at about 4am. Shop staff returned at around 11.17am to prepare for opening, found the door open and discovered that property was missing before reporting the matter to police.
The reported losses included about HK$2,100 in cash and four tablets valued at roughly HK$8,000 in total, as well as a takeaway bag. Police attended and checked the shop's property, according to the reports.
Police classified the case as burglary and are pursuing the person reportedly seen on the footage wearing black clothing. That description is a reported CCTV observation, not an identification of the person.
