A 66-year-old taxi driver reportedly became unwell and collapsed while driving towards Kwun Tong on Ching Cheung Road around noon on Monday.
The taxi was carrying four passengers—three women and one man. It moved without anyone in control, scraping the barrier before stopping after its right front tyre burst.
Rescuers found the driver unconscious and took him by ambulance to Caritas Medical Centre for emergency treatment. HK01 reported that he had no visible external injuries.
The passengers were unharmed and were helped into another taxi to continue their journey. Police were investigating what caused the driver’s collapse and the crash.
