Police said the industrial estate had previously seen illegal fuel-transfer activity and they had not ruled out a dispute over fuel transactions as a possible link to the attack. Officers found suspected untaxed petrol and fuel-transfer equipment in the injured man’s vehicle.
In a separate operation, police and the Hong Kong Fire Services Department found about 750 litres of suspected untaxed diesel in a medium goods vehicle. Its 25-year-old driver was suspected of involvement.
