A truck caught fire beneath the Tsing Tin Road bridge in Tuen Mun at 6.13pm on 7 November. Batteries in its cargo bed were involved in the fire, which closed some lanes at the nearby junction with Tsun Wen Road.
Flames came from the rear of the truck’s cargo bed, while heavy black smoke billowed beneath the pedestrian footbridge. The driver escaped, and no one was injured. Firefighters put out the blaze by 6.36pm.
The Transport Department said drivers could use the remaining lanes at the junction.
