A route 807A minibus struck a 67-year-old married couple as they crossed the road near Ma On Shan’s town-centre public transport interchange at about 2pm on 21 September 2026. The husband suffered a head injury and was reported to have had impaired consciousness; his wife remained conscious but was injured.
Ambulance personnel treated both pedestrians at the scene before taking them to Prince of Wales Hospital. The woman suffered injuries including abrasions to her forehead, face and limbs, while the man was sent for emergency treatment after sustaining the head injury.
The minibus’s front was dented in the collision and its windscreen shattered. The vehicle was towed away for examination.
Police later arrested the 40-year-old driver on suspicion of dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm, according to Ming Pao and Star Headline. He was being detained for investigation.
