A 47-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were arrested after customs officers seized about 27 pieces of suspected infringing jewellery during searches at a Wan Chai exhibition fair and a trading company in Hung Hom. The goods were valued at about HK$160,000.
The operation began after customs received a report alleging that a stall at the jewellery and watch fair was selling suspected infringing jewellery. Following an investigation and assistance from copyright owners, officers searched the stall during the week of 20 September 2026 before searching a trading company in Hung Hom.
The arrested pair were described as the person in charge of the company and an employee. The seized items included earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
