Two men have been remanded after appearing at a magistrates’ court in Tuen Mun over the alleged wounding of a woman on Kau Yuk Road, Yuen Long. Bail applications for both were refused.
The alleged attack took place on September 18 near lamp post FC0765, where the woman was reportedly injured with a sharp weapon. The defendants appeared for the first time on September 22 and were not required to enter pleas.
The defendants were transport worker 成銘鋒, 30, and renovation worker 黃志威, 42. The prosecution charged the former with unlawfully and maliciously wounding the woman with intent to cause her serious bodily harm. The latter was charged with conspiracy to carry out the same offence. The charges allege that the offences happened at the same place and on the same date.
The prosecution sought an adjournment for further investigation, including examination of CCTV footage and mobile-phone contents. It also told the court that investigators were pursuing other alleged participants.
The case will return on November 17.
