The Hong Kong Tourism Board has extended the International Lantern Spectacular at Victoria Park through October 4 after strong attendance. The display, which began on September 17, features more than 3,000 lanterns, including some from 20 countries and regions.
The lanterns are normally lit from 6:30pm to 11pm. The display will remain open until midnight on September 24, 25, 26 and 27.
Visitors should expect crowd controls if numbers rise. The Hong Kong Tourism Board said staff may close the entry queue earlier than usual to protect public safety and order. Visitors have been asked to follow on-site staff instructions. The board may publish updates on its website.
