The Housing Bureau has notified Wang Fuk Court owners that the lottery for the special sales scheme will be held at 11.30am on September 15, 2026, with an online livestream. The result will determine the order in which owners can select flats.
Owners have been divided into two batches according to the date the government received their signed acceptance-of-acquisition-offer letters. The first batch covered letters received by June 30, 2026, while the second covered those received by August 31. The lottery result within each batch will determine the flat-selection sequence.
Ming Pao reported that separate public draws will be held for the two batches. The last two digits of each application number will establish the initial order, while a computer will randomly arrange applicants who share the same final two digits.
Owners who have returned an acceptance letter but have not yet signed the sale-and-purchase agreement may participate in the lottery. However, they must complete the agreement before they are invited to select a flat.
Ming Pao reported that the lottery results and flat-selection order are expected to be uploaded to a dedicated webpage on the afternoon of September 15. Flat selection is expected to begin in late September, although the report said the letter did not specify the exact selection dates.
The report also said that if an owner has not transferred the Wang Fuk Court unit to the acquisition company, the scheme will only reserve a new flat during the selection stage. The Housing Authority or Housing Society will sign the purchase agreement or provisional purchase agreement only after the owner signs the deed of assignment and transfers ownership.
Ming Pao further reported that owners who sign the sale-and-purchase agreement after their initially assigned selection date may be scheduled for a later selection opportunity, potentially with priority over owners originally scheduled for that day. The report did not establish whether every such owner will receive the arrangement.
The wider scheme covers 10 subsidised-sale housing projects—eight under the Housing Authority and two under the Housing Society—with more than 4,400 units. Exact flat-selection dates and further scheduling details remain outstanding.
