Wang Fuk Court homeowners will begin choosing flats on 29 September under the Housing Bureau’s Special Sales Exercise, following completion of the ordering process. Letters notifying participants of their individual selection times began going out on 22 September.
The first selection day will accommodate 35 applicant households. Other homeowners will be invited over the following two months in a computer-generated random order, according to Winnie Ho, the Secretary for Housing.
Ho also reminded homeowners that they must sign a sale-and-purchase agreement before they can receive an invitation to choose a flat. She said the bureau would allow enough time to explain and manage the process, taking account of homeowners’ circumstances and avoiding rushed appointments.
A Housing Bureau exhibition at its public-housing sales office in Kwun Tong is intended to help participants understand the choices available through the exercise. It displays models of two Tai Po developments. Ho said the designs respond to the terrain, linking platform spaces with walking paths and providing playgrounds within the estates.
