A woman returned to safety after climbing out of a window and sitting on an external drying rack at a residential building in Kwai Chung on the afternoon of 26 September.
Police and firefighters attended, the scene was cordoned off and rescue personnel stood by. Police had received a report that the woman might be attempting to jump, and she was described as emotionally distressed. She was persuaded to move back to a safe position and was reported to have done so at about 4pm.
HK01 later reported that the woman, aged about 60, was conscious and taken by ambulance to Princess Margaret Hospital for examination, while police investigated the incident.
