Wounded man reaches Yau Ma Tei MTR exit after reported slashing

A man with a bleeding leg wound reached the MTR station’s A1 exit in Yau Ma Tei at about 8am on 17 September and reported that another man had slashed him earlier, police said.

Police said the reported attack took place at or outside a unit in a commercial building at 383 Shanghai Street, Yau Ma Tei.

Rescue personnel found the man conscious. He was taken by ambulance to Kwong Wah Hospital, with Star Headline reporting that the cut was above his left knee.

Police classified the case as wounding and investigated the building and station areas while pursuing the suspected attacker. They were also investigating the circumstances and motive.
