A burst saltwater pipe near Yau Tong Community Hall sent a plume up to three metres into the air, scattering sand and gravel onto Ko Chiu Road.
The pipe burst on the footpath beside the road at about 6pm on October 11, affecting traffic.
Police secured the area while Water Supplies Department staff attended to shut off the supply and repair the pipe.
