Falling branch injures elderly woman at Tsuen Wan estate

She was described as partly conscious and taken to hospital as firefighters removed other hazardous branches and closed part of a road.

A branch about 6 metres long fell onto a pavement at Shek Wai Kok Estate in Tsuen Wan around noon on 3 November, striking an elderly woman on the head.

The branch, about 5 centimetres in diameter, fell near Shek Ho House. The woman was described as partly conscious and was taken by ambulance to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment.

Firefighters used a ladder to cut away other branches considered dangerous and cordoned off the area. Part of Shek Wai Kok Road towards Tsuen Wan was closed.
