A male patient at Kwai Chung Hospital pleaded guilty at the High Court on 30 October 2026 to one count of anal intercourse with a person mentally incapacitated.
The admitted offence took place in a ward bathroom on 13 September 2024 and involved a 26-year-old fellow patient with moderate intellectual disability. Another patient alerted a nurse, who spoke with the victim and called police. The victim told the nurse that the defendant had asked him to go to the bathroom and penetrated him. A medical report recorded abrasions on the victim’s buttocks and slight anal bleeding.
The court adjourned sentencing until 10 December 2026 to obtain a trauma report for the victim.
