Police said a 43-year-old man was arrested on October 28 on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, two days after an alleged cleaver attack injured two people in Tin Shui Wai. The attack was reported on the afternoon of October 26 outside a meat stall at Grandeur Terrace Shopping Centre; a man allegedly took a cleaver from the stall and attacked his former girlfriend’s male friend, then assaulted her.
CCTV footage showed meat-stall workers urging the man to put down the knife. After it fell, the male victim ran away.
Both victims were conscious when taken to hospital after the attack.
