Police received a report at 10.25pm on 10 October that a 47-year-old man had fallen near 30 Harbour Road in Wan Chai. He was unconscious and was taken by ambulance to Ruttonjee Hospital, where he later died.
HK01, citing unspecified information, reported that the man had been sitting on the railing before he fell.
Police said their preliminary investigation led them to suspect that he had accidentally fallen from a railing at the location. The cause of death was pending an autopsy.
