Police said officers targeted a village house in Pat Heung suspected of being used to store drugs. They arrested a 46-year-old man outside on October 28, then searched the property and seized suspected methamphetamine.
Reports put the suspected meth at between 40kg and 43.6kg and valued it at about HK$20 million.
Police said the man resisted officers and that one officer suffered hand and facial injuries. The man was arrested on suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs and assaulting a police officer.
He was expected to be provisionally charged with those offences and appear at Fanling Magistrates' Courts on October 30.
