Korean media reports say Samsung plans to stop selling refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines and vacuum cleaners in Hong Kong.
A salesperson at a Fortress store told HK01 the appliances had been withdrawn on 31 August 2026. The reporter found no Samsung washing machines or refrigerators on display at the retailer’s Kowloon Bay branch.
Some major appliances appeared as sold out on Samsung’s Hong Kong website. Customer-service staff told Ming Pao they had not received information about a sales change and that some products had not yet been restocked.
Samsung said it was concentrating resources on televisions, monitors, audio products, commercial displays and mobile communications devices, and that after-sales service, warranties and repairs for products already sold would continue unchanged.
