Passenger and vehicle clearance at Shenzhen Bay is scheduled to continue until 2am on the nights of October 30 and 31, 2026, two hours later than usual. The Hong Kong government said it had agreed the temporary extensions with relevant Shenzhen authorities.

The government expects late-night cross-boundary travel to increase because of Halloween, the Wine and Dine Festival and large concerts. It forecast that northbound passenger and vehicle flows at Huanggang would be busiest from about 11pm to 2am, with heavy traffic around the crossing and San Tin Highway.

Private cars with Shenzhen Bay closed-road permits must use Shenzhen Bay between midnight and 2am on October 31 and November 1. They can use Huanggang from 2am to 6.30am, as under the usual arrangement.

Special overnight bus route NB2 is planned between Shenzhen Bay and Yuen Long/Tin Shui Wai, and NB3 between Shenzhen Bay and Tuen Mun. Cross-boundary coaches using the crossing are also due to run for longer, with services departing from areas including Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Central, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok.

A bus operator spokesperson told Commercial Radio that NB3 was planned to run direct from Tuen Mun to Shenzhen Bay between midnight and 1.30am on the mornings of October 31 and November 1. The port-bound B3X service from Tuen Mun town centre was also planned to run until 11.30pm on October 30 and 31.
