An iron bar pierced a man's jaw in a serious accident at a Housing Department construction site by 18 Ching Hiu Road in Sheung Shui at about 10.50am on October 30. He was reported to be a 32-year-old senior engineer.
Rescuers cut the bar shorter, but could not remove the section embedded in his jaw at the scene. He was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital with it still in place.
HK01 and Star Headline reported that medical staff were operating to remove the bar.
