A fire in a Kowloon Tong flat prompted the evacuation of 50 people on November 3. No injuries were reported.
The fire broke out at about 3.16pm at a flat in Merlin Court, 42 Broadcast Drive. A female resident told HK01 she heard a pop before a household helper tried unsuccessfully to put out the fire with water. The two then escaped.
Firefighters used a hose and a breathing-apparatus team to put out the blaze by about 3.35pm.
