The first six groups of strategic enterprises brought to Hong Kong had invested HK$28.3 billion and employed more than 10,300 people by the end of September 2026, Financial Secretary Paul Chan said.

Investment was 30% above initial phased targets, while employment was 34% higher.

By 25 October, 142 strategic enterprises had established or expanded operations in Hong Kong. They are expected to generate about HK$84 billion in investment and roughly 27,000 jobs over the coming years.

About 70% of the first six groups had established global or regional headquarters in Hong Kong, and nearly 90% had set up research and development centres.

Those six groups were using 2.83 million square feet of commercial and industrial floor space by the end of September, more than 50% above the level in March 2025.
